Overall I had a good first session taking notes with my chosen club. I found their meeting to be very structured. At the beginning of the session the president handed out a sheet that outlined the entire meeting. The outline was very detailed and even highlighted each point that needed to be expressed urgently to the group. One of theses points was chapter fees which are due next Thursday.
The environment of the session gave me a feeling of warmth and friendliness. It was a small group of people who met but they seemed very close, almost as like a small family. The meeting was not serious, and rather laid back. Most often there would be an interruption from a member who made a joke and the rest of the group would start laughing. I noticed that there are other types of people there besides African Americans like, Arabs. The majority of the people in this club were graduate students, a couple sophomores, and me the lone freshman. There were more males in the group than females.
