Week 4 question
I only have a couple academic sources. One of them is bracken. Bracken is the largest library on campus therefore it has the biggest source of information on campus in one area. It contains books, movies, CD’s, cassettes, and even rent able laptops. Students can also go to the library to print out, as well as copying papers, and handouts. I have only been to bracken a handful of times and most of those times were because I was required by a professor. Teachers probably only want academic sources because they are for sure credible. On the internet there are countless amounts of information available but there is such information that isn't credible, and could possible just be personal opinion. You could use non-academic sources in specific papers like opinion papers, or personal narrative papers. I consider wikipedia.org a non academic source because my past teachers didn't except information from that site so it is non-academic. Other information that I don’t believe is academic, is certain newspaper articles and personal ads of that nature because they could have been published by crazy people.

I completely forgot to mention bracken in my blog response but you are 100% right. Bracken would be full of academic sources that could supplement research.
I have to go to the library for 3 hours every week for my sorority, they have so much stuff thats helpful. Every time I go I feel like I see or find something new. I use to always use wikipedia.org till I found out it wasn't always accurate. I like your comment about personal ads being done by crazy people, it made me laugh. :)
I believe Bracken is a good source. It is on campus, and putting our resources to good use. I will be using Bracken in my research. I agree that wikipedia is not an academic sight, but I 100% trust it :)
